We woke up at 6, with 6 hours left to Christmas,
We’d spent the whole day in bed and yet it didn’t feel that way,
You tied my hair up and I just lay there in your lap,
I enjoyed that kind of intimacy, it felt special, unique
We left at 7 and went into town,
Walking around under Christmas lights,
Whilst we spoke about anything and everything,
We made jokes and luaghed, annoying tourists and workers,
I was focused on you.
With my memories I create a reel,
Shots of my happiness which I hold dear to me,
Over time memories fade, words are forgotten and close ones become strangers,
But still I remember, if not exactly the same, I remember,
Through the memory of a memory I see that Christmas Eve as clear as I felt
